FRK9 ASHLEY
Namesake: Officer Ashley Guindon
​Officer Ashley Marie Guindon assisted the Marine Corps Mortuary Affairs Office while serving in the Reserves, worked as a pre-hire with Prince William County Police Special Victims Unit, and volunteered with the Suicide Prevention Program. She served on the Prince William County Police force for 8 months before she
was shot and killed on her first day on the street on February 27, 2016 when she and two other officers responded to a domestic dispute.

FRK9 BROOKS
Namesake: Chief Norman Brooks Sr.
Fire Chief Norman Brooks, Sr, dedicated his life to serving and helping others. He began his career in Spotsylvania as a Deputy Sheriff before joining Spotsylvania Volunteer Fire Department in 1972. Chief Brooks ​was one of the first four career firefighters hired by Spotsylvania County in 1981.
Chief Brook’s served the Spotsylvania community and positively impacted lives for over 47 years.

Namesake: Ventura County Fire Dept.
FRK9 Caye (pronounced kie-ya/kay-ya) is named for the Ventura County Fire Deptment and all those that fought the Thomas Fire on San Cayetano Mountain. At its height, the Thomas Fire saw over 8,500 Firefighters mobilized to fight it, which is the largest mobilization of Firefighters for combating any wildfire in California history.

Namesake: Lieutenant Eric Eslary
FRK9 Eric is named after Lt Eric Eslary who was a 17 year police veteran and established the Ligonier Township, Pennsylvania's K-9 Unit. He loved what he did and the community loved him and his partners. His current K-9 partner Blek, was with him when he was killed in the line of duty by a drunk driver and would not leave his side. Eric was also very active in the Wilpen, 
PA fire department as a volunteer firefighter.

Namesake:Lieutenant M. Kevin Holmes
FRK9 Holmes is named in honor of Second Lieutenant Michael Kevin Holmes who served 33 years as a police officer and supervisor with the Fairfax County Police Department. His leadership and guidance was pivotal in the formation of the Fairfax County Peer Support Team.

FRK9 Indy is named in honor of the Indianapolis Fire Department, the largest Fire Department in the state of Indiana, the community and all of it's First Responders. Established: 11/14/1859

Namesake:Captain John Kovacs
FRK9 Jack is named in honor of Captain Johnny Kovacs who served roughly 25 years on the Tillsonburg Fire Department. Jack passed away from cancer, a line of duty death in 2015.

Namesake: Officer Larry Nehasil
FRK9 Larry is named after Livonia, Michigan Police Officer Larry Nehasil, who exemplified the ultimate professionalism and bravery throughout his law-enforcement career. Larry died in the line of duty January 17, 2011 when surveillance assignment quickly turned deadly.

Namesake: Sergeant Lenore Barrow Whitehead
​FRK9 Lennie is named after Sergeant Lenore Whitehead who served with Newport News Police Department from January 10, 1984 – October 1, 2007. Sergeant Lenore Whitehead’s exceptional police work throughout her career earned her the Supervisor of the Year Award in Jan 2007. Sergeant Whitehead was known for her integrity and dedication to her career. She was always there for whatever needed to be done, looked out for her personnel and always made sure that matters were done correctly.

FRK9 Macy is named in honor of three generations of Indianapolis Firefighters, the Macy family. David Gilley, Retired Engineer Station #1 Indianapolis Fire Department, July 7th, 1971 - Dec 12th, 2005. Bruce Macy, Current Captain Station #5 Indianapolis Fire Department, Hire Date-July 6th, 1990 and son Brandon Macy, Current Private Station #20 Indianapolis Fire Department, Hire Date-May 27th, 2014.

Namesake: Sheriff Preston Scott Williams.
Mr. Williams was elected Sheriff of York County, VA in 1983. As Sheriff he established the DARE Program, SWAT Team, Bike Patrol, and K9 Unit. He was admired by the citizens of York, and his Deputy’s alike. In addition to being the impactful community leader, and Law Enforcement Official, Sheriff Williams also spent 33 years as a State Trooper, and served his country in the United State Marine Corps. Preston Scott Williams passed away at the age of 93, on 6 March, 2020.

FRK9 Sully is named in honor of MPO Michael Garbarino and Detective Vicky Armel who were killed by a mentally ill teenager in the parking lot of the Sully District Station in 2006.
